Smile! Like you mean it!
The thing is, my friends have all, at one point of time, move to another place, for better or for worse. I had never felt what its really like to move to another (new) place. Nothing special really, but as a young kid, I always wanna be like other people. I persuaded my dad and mom to move, but all I got was scoldings and naggings ( :D), well they are complacent with the place and have never thought of relocating to another place. I was still too young to understand the trouble and hassle of shifting.
Until I was 19, I basically lived in a small township called Bukit Beruang (I still can't understand why only Malaysia places have the lamest names in the world.. why can't we just have more happening names like places in the US or Australia or the UK?).. I studied in a kindergarten in Bukit Beruang, I went to primary school in Bukit Beruang, and secondary school in Bukit Beruang and did my foundation year in Bukit Beruang (and even thought I'd complete the rest of my degree in Bukit Beruang). I was pretty happy with my life at that point until one day when I was out for lunch with my friends...
The conversation goes like this:
Candice: Julian, do you go to KL often?
ME: Ermm..
Candice: I go there a few times a year. You gotta go there.. during Megasales!
ME: (Felt so katak dlm tempurung.. I don't even go there a whole year sometimes.. Its just fucking 1 1/2 hours from here..)
So it struck me that I can't stay in Melaka anymore! I'd die a frog if i don't step out of the coconut shell! Another one was when my lecturer said:
"You were born in Melaka, grew up in Melaka, studied in Melaka, Go to university in Melaka, you'll definitely work in Melaka and DIE IN MELAKA! (everyone in the class started to laugh)
I was determined that I somehow must get out of Melaka before it gets worst! So I made up my mind to complete my degree in Cyberjaya. Well, I was definitely excited but finally understood why my dad never wanted to move to another place and how expensive.. and the worst thing is you're gonna need time to get used to the place.
Something that I'm never good at.. Especially recognizing roads. Especially when you're in KL. The problem with me is that my friend from Seremban, Eugene knows the road in melaka than me (How embarasing..) and when my colleague from India, knows the road in PJ better than a Malaysian. I'm very bad at recognizing roads and places and especially when you move into a new neighbourhood, you'd need more time to make sense to how the lanes are located. Some places you'd have very simple layouts but some older places, that connects to another place would be much more complicated, especially when you're staying in somewhere in SS2.
What makes it harder for me to adapt to the new place is that, I've move to 3 different places in 5 months. How worse can it be..
I've just moved to this place in SS2, and been staying for 2 days already. Im still trying to make sense. Don't laugh at me, this is why I hate playing RPG games. I don't remember places that well. Please be assured that I didn't encounter the below situation when I was staying in BU and Tmn SEA ok? It only happened in SS2. All in all, I just hope this'll be the place I'd end up for a long long time to come..
